Luci & Reece at Cockliffe Country House
I had the honour of photographing Luci and Reece’s blessing and reception at Cockliffe Country House Hotel in Arnold, Nottinghamshire on 12th May 2022.
Rather than putting things on hold during Covid restrictions, Luci and Reece decided to go ahead and get married surrounded by a few close family members. During our venue visit a week before the wedding, Luci and Reece reiterated that they just wanted to have a big party with everyone… Mission Accomplished!
It was great seeing and photographing familiar faces and finally getting to meet others after years of chatting, emails flying back and forth and postponed dates.
Part of my job as a wedding photographer is to incorporate aspects of you and your personalities into your wedding photos. Luci and Reece are the definition of laid back and chilled, so this needed to shine through. As Luci and Reece love the great outdoors and often out hiking, we jumped into my car and found a beautiful woodland area just down the lane from Cockliffe Country House and stopped off for some more photos. I also had to take full advantage of making the most of Luci’s amazing wedding cape. Ladies, never mind a veil, check out wedding capes and you’re welcome.
It was my first time shooting at Cockliffe Country House Hotel and it’s a little gem of a wedding venue. It’s quite a compact wedding venue with several very different locations for photos within close proximity of each other. It’s a photographer’s dream and the staff were amazing too. I can’t wait to go back in July for my next wedding there.
